  • State why this individual is of interest to you
  • Provide adequate information regarding his/her body of work
  • What or who influenced the individual’s work
  • Educational background of the individual
  • How did he or she evolve as a photographer
  • How does the artist/photographer’s work connect to the audience
  • Why is he/she successful
  • As soon as you have made your selection, notify the instructor so your selection can be recorded – note: no one can report on the same photographer, selections must be made end the beginning of the period Monday, November 18th.
  • Presentations will be due before Thanksgiving break, November 26th.

Requirements:
·         Collect images of his/her work from web sources
·         Write a well-developed paragraph for each of the key considerations above

Advanced Art Studio - Window project

Here's the pics of the windows that I was describing in class today.  Went and picked up 15 more old windows to add to the stack that's already in the studio.

Advanced art students - you should be sketching and researching ideas.  Yours are going to be amazing!

Mobile experiment

If I can do it

Blogging and drawing on the right side of the brain.

First lets look at these fun illustrations of the two hemispheres of the brain.  While not exclusively, we will "draw" heavily on the right side.  Do you know why?

Get used to looking at this guy.  A staple in art classes around the world, it's Pablo Picasso's drawing of Igor Stravinski.

Now we'll check out some other art and photography blogs.  What purpose do you think they serve?  What makes them so good?
